How It All Began

From a Dream to Seattle's Premier Spa

Lumiere Salon & Spa was born in 2016 from founder Isabelle Fontaine's vision of a space where luxury beauty and genuine wellness could coexist. After 12 years working in high-end salons in Paris and New York, Isabelle moved to Seattle with one ambition: to create a sanctuary where every client felt truly seen, heard, and transformed.

Starting with just three chairs on Pike Place, Isabelle hand-picked a team of specialists who shared her ethos — mastery, kindness, and an obsession with results. The waiting list began before the doors even opened.

Today, Lumiere operates from our full-service salon and spa suite with 10 specialists, a dedicated massage suite, two esthetic rooms, and a nail lounge. We've served over 5,000 clients and are consistently ranked among Seattle's top-rated beauty destinations.

2016

Grand Opening on Pike Place

Lumiere opens with 3 styling chairs and an instant waiting list. Isabelle's signature balayage goes viral locally within the first month.

2018

Spa Suite Expansion

We expanded into the adjacent unit, adding two private esthetic rooms, a massage suite, and our signature nail lounge. Team grew to 7 specialists.

2020

Best of Seattle Award

Named "Best Salon & Spa" by Seattle Magazine readers for the first time. We also launched our Lumiere Membership program during this year.

2022

Bridal Program Launch

Launched our dedicated bridal services division, offering full wedding party packages. Booked out 18 months in advance within our first bridal season.

2024

5,000 Clients & Counting

Reached the milestone of 5,000 individual clients served, with a 4.9-star Google rating from 847 reviews. Named Seattle's #1 Luxury Salon for the third year running.

2025 → Future

Flagship Spa Coming Soon

We're excited to announce plans for a full-floor flagship spa on Capitol Hill, opening in late 2025 with an infrared sauna, salt room, and rooftop terrace.
