FAQ

Common Questions

Yes — in Denver and all surrounding municipalities, electrical panel upgrades require a permit and city inspection. We handle all permit applications and schedule the inspection for you. The permit fee is included in our quoted price, no surprises.
Most residential panel upgrades are completed in 4–6 hours. Power will be off for approximately 2–3 hours during the swap. We schedule the city inspection same-day or next-day in most cases, so you're fully legal immediately after completion.
Possibly — it depends on your current electrical load. We'll do a free load calculation during your estimate. In many homes a 100A panel can support a 24A Level 2 charger. If not, we'll quote a panel upgrade bundle and often save you money by doing both at once.
Absolutely. Voltage Electric Co. holds Colorado Electrical Contractor License #EC-88421. Our lead electrician Marcus Reid holds Master Electrician License #ME-4821. We carry $2M general liability and workers' comp insurance. We're happy to provide certificates of insurance upon request.
Yes — we offer 12-month 0% financing through GreenSky for qualifying projects over $1,000. This is especially popular for panel upgrades and EV charger installs. Ask your estimator for details or apply online before your appointment.
Our 5-year workmanship warranty covers defects in our labor and installation — loose connections, improper routing, failed terminations, and more. It does not cover damage from flooding, physical damage, or misuse. Manufacturer warranties on parts and fixtures are separate and typically range from 1–10 years.
Our average emergency response time in Denver is under 60 minutes. We have electricians on call 24/7/365. Emergency calls carry a $125 after-hours dispatch fee on top of the repair cost. Call (720) 555-3842 any time.
Yes — we install the electrical balance-of-system for solar and battery storage (conduit, combiner boxes, transfer switches, and interconnect wiring). We partner with SunPower and Tesla certified installers. We do not supply the solar panels themselves, but we'll work directly with your solar provider.
