Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! We always welcome walk-ins based on availability. However, Friday evenings, Saturday nights, and Sunday brunch tend to fill up 2–3 weeks in advance. We strongly recommend reserving ahead for those times. You can reserve online via our contact form or by calling (555) 234-7890.
Absolutely! We're a family-owned restaurant and families are the heart of what we do. We have a dedicated kids' menu with smaller portions of family favorites, and high chairs are always available. Sunday brunch is especially popular with families.
Yes — we offer gluten-free tortillas upon request, and our kitchen can accommodate most dietary needs with advance notice. We have clearly marked vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options on our menu. Please inform your server of any allergies and we'll take great care of you.
We recommend booking catering at least 2–3 weeks in advance for smaller events (under 50 guests) and 4–6 weeks for larger events. Holiday season (October–January) books very quickly — we suggest reaching out as early as possible. A 25% deposit confirms your date.
We have a free 30-space parking lot behind the restaurant on Johanna St. Street parking is also available on South Congress Ave. On busy weekend evenings, we recommend arriving a few minutes early or using the city parking garage one block north.
Yes! Our covered patio seats 20 guests and is dog-friendly. We even keep a water bowl and dog treats at the host stand. Austin is a dog-loving city and we wholeheartedly embrace that. Patio seats are first-come, first-served only.
For standard reservations, we ask for 24 hours notice for cancellations. For private dining room bookings, 48 hours notice is required. Catering deposits are non-refundable within 72 hours of the event. We understand things happen — please call us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Yes! Casa del Sol gift cards are available in any denomination from $25 upward. Purchase them at the restaurant or call us and we'll mail one to you. They make great birthday, holiday, or thank-you gifts. Gift cards never expire and can be used for dining or catering.
